Max Tiller was born in 1979 in Gera, Thuringia. At the age of 7 years, he received his first piano lessons. At age 11 he began playing the saxophone. He took lessons with Ingo Erlhoff, Evan Tate, and as a student of the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Leszek Zadlo. At 15 years he was a member of the provincial and National Youth Jazz Orchestra.
With his group "Maxolution Quartet" (MQ), he has received numerous awards, including 1st prize "Youth Jazz" Federal State of Bavaria and Retiring Retiring, 1st Prize at the international jazz festival in Biberach. At 19, he presented his first CD with the "Maxolution Quartet". With MQ, he played in the Czech Republic, Spain and Morocco.
MQ also took part in several radio productions (including BR, WDR). In 1999 he founded with John Daum, the 8-piece band "Soul Party", celebrating the 1999-2001 initial success, in the meantime, even without Max Tiller. 2001 Max Tiller came back to the band and it was followed by the live CD "Groove Control". Max Tiller was also a member of the 2002 "Earforce" BigBand by Gregory citizens (including Andi Haberl, Thorsten Skringer, Jan Zehrfeld). Max Tiller finally met in 2003 on Defunkt founder Joe Bowie, established as part of the Munich Radio Formation "Ermegency-Room" (ER), the Munich-based drummer Wolf Wolff. There are many appearances at home and abroad (Belgium, Finland, Holland, Lithuania, Switzerland, Austria).
Since 2005, there came again and again to appearances with the Munich-based pianist and singer Max Neissendorfer, one of the fixed quartet Max Tiller. Founded in 2006, driving the composer Dieter Dolezel out the "turbine" Saxophone Quartet, which, along with Max Tiller, Ulrich Wangenheim, Florian Riedl and Gregory citizens play. Then in 2007 first thoughts were ripening for the establishment of a new project under his own name. In February 2008, it was then for the first concert of the band "5 Senses" in Munich's "Under way".
In addition, Max Tiller is a sideman in the Süddeutsche jazz, pop and studio scene. He has worked with Klaus Doldinger (Passport), Joe Bowie (Defunkt), Reggie Worthy (Tina Turner), Harald Rüschenbaum, Max Neissendorfer, Rufus Martin, Freddy Taylor, Wolf Wolff, John Davis, Soul Kitchen, Peter Herbolzheimer and others.
