Oliver Tabeling

Tabelings musical talent was discovered early on and encouraged. He was 16 years ago as a young student in the Musiakademie in Basel study with Jean-Jacques-Dünki first to classical music.

His interest and talent in jazz and improvisation, which he exercised initially self-taught, led him, thanks to a full scholarship to Boston at the prestigious "Berklee School of Music" in Boston, where he participated in several master classes, such as when Hal Galper , Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Christian Jacob, and a few more.

Tabeling thus developed step by step "own" style in which are heard again and again aspects of classical music. Several tours with various bands throughout North America and Kananda. Then stay in New York in order to make the hardest but also most inspiring jazz scene.

Back in Basel, Tabeling founded his own trio to play both original compositions and arrangements. His first trio CD entitled, "Slightly different" caused quite a stir. Tabeling living as a freelance musician in Basel.
