Matthias Anton (saxophone) and Philipp Moehrke (piano) on their new CD "Memories" in technical perfection converging compositions as looking back on 10 years of musical and human friendship. Both classical music lovers and jazz fans come here at their expense. The two musicians will find a blend of pop, classical, jazz and chamber music in its offer high-quality arrangements concise, evocative themes like balls in a musical conversation collected and developed. The mood of the performance is affected by a dreamlike tranquility, touched by a well balanced dynamic and energetic climax emotionally deep. In classical chord progressions they juggle in free improvisation, the motives, sometimes with a breathtaking speed, yet simultaneously compassionate, balanced, acoustic interaction between a character from the hustle and bustle of the time.

Band Bio
Matthias Anton studied saxophone in Mannheim and Stuttgart. He played five years as lead in the Old National Youth Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Peter Herbolzheimer. During this time he won with his own band "Keechero" the first federal award for young jazz combos. Due to his stylistic diversity he performed already in Europe, Asia, USA. Since 2003 he teaches at the Musikhochschule Trossingen.

Philip studied at the prestigious Moehrke Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. During his twenty year career, he now has given concerts throughout Europe, Asia and the United States. Since 1991 he has been teaching at the Jazz & Rock school in Freiburg and is the training of teachers working at various music schools. Additionally, he wrote eight textbooks on jazz piano.
