The SVEN GÖTZ QUARTET is a German-Swedish project.

The two Swedish musician Mattias Grönroos (Gothenburg) and Tommy Holmgren (Nässjö) are among the leading representatives of the new Scandinavian jazz scene. They worked among others with John Taylor and Ulf Wakenius.

Together with the Stuttgart guitarist Sven Götz, whose compositions by contemporary, European jazz "pictures-like associations with broad northern landscapes wakes up", they formed a chamber music jazz trio.

In the summer of 2005, the SVEN GÖTZ TRIO was the first time on tour in Sweden and has been extended for a subsequent series of concerts in the fall of 05 in Germany by the saxophonist and jazz winner of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, Ekkehard Rössle. His expressive and lyrical way of playing the same musical interpretation complements the ability of the trio in an outstanding manner. In 2007 there was a summer tour in Sweden and in the autumn a series of concerts in Germany.

This recent CD "Swedish Reflections" is an intense part of this collaboration to develop shared by many concerts and musical ideas of their own, grown earnings. The two live recordings of the CD were in the "German Book", published in the German Real Book of the Nile Edition.
