The SVEN GÖTZ QUARTET is a German-Swedish project. The two Swedish musician Mattias Grönroos (Gothenburg) and Tommy Holmgren (Nässjö) are among the leaders of the new Scandinavian jazz scene. They worked among others with John Taylor and Ulf Wakenius. Together with the Stuttgart guitarist Sven Götz, whose compositions by contemporary, European jazz "pictures-like associations with broad northern landscapes wakes up", they formed a chamber music jazz trio.
