Tabeling Oliver & Andy Scherrer - Valley hippocampus (Foxtones Music / Our Distribution)
Saxophonist Andy Scherrer is very attentive and would SOUL TRAIN-readers as a member of the Vienna Art Orchestra to be a household name. As a guest pianist Oliver now supports this Tabeling, illustrate to the "hippocampus Valley" to expressive. The result is nine delicate jazz compositions, Tabeling mostly written and produced. The pace remains manageable slowly and deliberately leaning back, what the depth of the songs gives a kind of sultry, sometimes even once, may sound like "Sarabande" by Soul. The fun level is very high, while a very modest and controlled. For Oliver, it was obvious Tabeling not so much because improvisation, probably too top-heavy free-jazz atmosphere to spread. Rather, the creative power and true beauty of the music here in the simplicity: A piano, a saxophone. Point. What more is needed to make good music?
